The Smurfs (2011) is a movie adaptation of the Smurfs comic book series created by Peyo. Raja Gosnell directed the movie. The cast consists of Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria, Jonathan Winters, Sofia Vergara and Jayma Mays. It was released, by Columbia Pictures, in theaters on the 29th of July 2011.
It is a time of preparation for the most awaited Blue Moon Festival when the evil wizard Gargamel hunt down all the blue Smurfs and drives them out of their village. They run into a forbidden cave where they were accidentally sucked up into a giant vortex leading them right in the middle of Central park, New York City. Stuck and dangerously being hunted by Gargamel, they desperately search for the magic spell to let them get back to their village while staying complete and close with each other. The whole film run into a crazy adventure as they discover the real meaning of friendship and family.
