My Paranormal Activity 2 Movie Review:
The first Paranormal Activity was a classic and it really played with your emotions. Rather than coming right out with the horror, it slowly built up. With the help of a few key scenes and the video work, it did it’s job in creating that sense of dread and fear whenever you are dealing with any type of paranormal activity. The trailer of this movie does a great job of setting up the events about to take place in the actual movie, they even added a dog to add to the fear factor because dogs can usually sense something that humans can’t.
This film does not do like the first and slowly build up the fear, it seems that things happen and happen very quickly. It does follow the same formula in that they try to capture the events on video, but they have added more cameras in this one. If you hated the first one, there’s a chance that you may actually like this one because you don’t have to wait to be scared. There are several scenes that will catch you off guard and I think this is what ultimately attracts many people to horror movies.
