Captain America (2011) – The First Avenger is an action movie based on the Marvel Comics character. It has made its theatrical debut on the 22nd of July 2011. The movie was made under the direction of Johnston.
The cast was headed by Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, a courageous and mild-mannered young man who has all what it takes to be a great soldier except that he is not fit to be enlisted in the US Army. Eventually, he was recruited by Dr. Erksine to be a volunteer in a series of experiments that will develop Super Soldiers for the US Army.
The experiment is a complete success and transforms Steve as the perfect fighting weapon to be sent virtually to any battlefield. As the story unfolds, the Nazi reveals their plot to destroy both America and his allies. It is up to Captain America to rise up to the challenge and face his archrival, The Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
Captain America was one of the most popular hero characters during the World War I period and continues to persist as an embodiment of social values and principles that made the United States as the flourishing country as we know it today. Furthermore, the movie is truly a mixture of action and romance that undeniably made the movie a big blockbuster.
